The Encounter

In the wonderful book The Shack the Holy Spirit is depicted as an Asian woman that’s somewhat foggy and hard to see but is lovely in her actions, and her spirit is critical in the role.  I met the real Holy Spirit this summer. Deep in the night.   Incredible encounters.   Yes multiple encounters. So peaceful and comforting just like our Lord but different.  And real.  It was like a best friend who knew me well and wanted nothing but the best for me was holding my hand as I was “walking” through this period of my life.  He brought visions of goodness.

One night I saw my father’s angelic face. My father died in a car accident when I was 9.  This night his face was gleaming and gorgeous.  His blue eyes sparkled.  His skin was perfect.   It’s as if the Holy Spirit let him tag along this night to encourage me.  Oh it was wondrous. And oh how wondrous God is. Incredible.  The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.   Seek them.  You will be astounded at the effect.

God created the world.  Jesus came and lived sinless and died on the cross for me and for you.   Then the Holy Spirit came as our comforter.   Seek them.   You will be astounded.

As Jesus said in John 16:12–There is so much more I want to tell you, but you can’t bear it now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me. All that belongs to the Father is mine; this is why I said, ‘The Spirit will tell you whatever he receives from me.’

Godspeed.
