Faith is never fully developed. It is never done. In the Valley of Vision book there is a prayer that ends with “Lord, increase my faith.” Our faith increases, but it is never done. Faith will grow as we grow closer to God. We have to let go of the shore and spiral into deeper faith. We need to read, interpret, and understand how faith relates to us individually. Maybe we relate in small ways. Or maybe we need to relate in a very big way.
Look inside your mind. Is there doubt? Is there fear?
We need to deepen our faith and lessen our fear and doubt. How can we do that?
Read in the Bible how Paul stayed the course despite his troubles. He endured a shipwreck, a snakebite, and multiple beatings, but he didn’t change his faith. He didn’t play it safe. He could have laid low and kept his faith to himself and avoided his struggles and his pain. But instead he faced every challenge, and his faith deepened. 2 Corinthians 6:5-10. As his faith increased, God blessed him. God comforted him.
Think of David. David fought Goliath. David fought Saul. David expressed his anger to God. He cried out in so many Psalms, expressing his fear and expressing his anguish. But he increased his faith with every challenge. He increased his faith when he stumbled, falling into sin, but he rose above the sin and remained ever more faithful. As his faith increased, God’s blessings increased.
Lord, we need to let you increase in us, and let us decrease.
John:3:30
Lord, increase my faith.
Godspeed.

We have been beaten, been put in prison, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, endured sleepless nights, and gone without food. We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love. We faithfully preach the truth. God’s Power is working in us.
2 Corinthians 6:5-7
Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we have everything.
2 Corinthians 6:10
He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less.
John 3:30
