There’s a sweet song from my childhood. The lyrics—Jesus loves me this I know; for the Bible tells me so. But that’s not all. No He does not just love you. He adores you.
Are you friends forever? Yes that’s right.
And He will never disappoint you? Correct.
Is this Love real? Absolutely.
How blessed are we to know His expansive love. We bathe in in. It surrounds us. His love is deep. His love is visible. Hidden in His scars. He loved you even when you were still a sinner. He died on the cross for you and forgave your sins. Yes YOUR sins. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”
Is that real? Without question. Jesus loves me this I know; for the Bible tells me so. It’s a love that is so big and so strong that we can’t truly imagine it. But we can seek it. We can read about it. Then we will feel it. We can share it. Tell the world. All colors. All ways.
Ephesians 3:18
And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how wide, and how deep his love is.
And there’s another song that has stood the test of time:
Jesus Loves the Little Children
Jesus loves the little children
All the children of the world
Red, brown, yellow
Black and white
They are precious in His sight
Jesus loves the little children
Of the world
Jesus died for all the children
All the children of the world
Red, brown, yellow
Black and white
They are precious in His sight
Jesus died for all the children
Of the world.
Jesus rose for all the children
All the children of the world
Red, brown, yellow
Black and white
They are precious in His sight
Jesus rose for all the children
Of the world
