Colossians 3:13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
God has a very large heart, and He is certainly capable for everyone to be forgiven. Everyone.
So, let’s never allow our sins, or moreover the sins of others (perceived or real), separate us from God. We have enough sins of our own. We need to forgive others, and pray for them to be lifted up by God, with us, and be forgiven by us and by God.
Let us remember that if we see somebody else as malicious, God will forgive us both. Seeing them as malicious only hurts us. Let’s not ignore or deny sins by others. They need to be forgiven by God, and we need to forgive them too.
We often ignore the sin that we create by our denial. We are too busy dealing with our own sin or simply denying it. In the book The Calvary Road, Roy Hession says that the sins we hide in our hearts hinder us from our own personal revival. Furthermore, it says that seeing so clearly how the other man wants his own way and rights, we are blind to the fact that we want our ways and rights just as much. Thus disagreements lead to sins.
Let us not be blind to our sins or to the sins of others. Jesus is certainly not blind, and is not blind to our sins. And so Lord do not let us allow our sins to be unconscious to us. Let us see them in God’s light.
Lord, open our eyes. Don’t let sin separate us from God. God already knows about it. Confess it. Lord let us develop a deep thirst for you. Let it be deep enough for all of us.
Lord, I acknowledge that you have set me free. It’s a beautiful thing. And thus I ask you to set others free.
God Speed.
Susan
Colossians 3:27 Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.
