Have you noticed that the Google and Yahoo homepage on your phone or computer seem to be telling you what you want to hear? They watch to see what you’re interested in. Then they target their news to you.
We can spend hours following their lead. Yesterday they suggested that I might want to read two distinctly different news stories. The first one was “who has the most mouthwatering tacos”. Guilty. Followed by a COVID-19 exposure alert story. Also guilty.
Do we really want a computer algorithm to tell us what to read?
Guess what? God doesn’t have to guess what we need to hear or what we need to read. He always knows.
We need to turn google off and ask God every day to let us know what we need to hear.
He will lead us.
He is the source of all grace, love, and comfort. We only need to seek him. Turn off the computer. Bow your head. Give thanks. And ask the Holy Spirit to come and guide you.
Godspeed
