In the late 80s, I had the pleasure of working in the corporate office for the grocery chain Bruno’s, Inc.
It was an incredible experience.
A group of us went to New York City one day and went on a bread tour. The tour guide was a bread expert. Yes, that’s right. A bread expert.
As you may know, New York has fabulous breads. We went to maybe 10 or 12 places to taste test bread. At each stop the wonderful tour guide would say “THIS is the best bread“.
That was one of my favorite days of my career. An accountant working by tasting bread!
This is how I feel when I’m starting a new chapter in the Bible on my reading plan.
I’m leaving one chapter that I love and want to keep reading, and then I start a new chapter and I think oh, this chapter is the best ever. My theory is the reason each one is “the best“ is it IS the best.
God works personally with us. We read what we need to read. And we interpret it the way He wants us to interpret it. It’s amazing.
God always speaks to us.
Let Him speak. Hear him. Give Him open access to your thoughts. Each of His messages to us are the best. This is the best.
Godspeed
